About ID3 Batch Metadata Tagger
The ID3 Batch Metadata Tagger is a bulk music organizer designed to update tags across multiple MP3 files simultaneously. For users managing large audio libraries, editing tags one by one is tedious. This utility provides a spreadsheet-style layout to customize the Title, Artist, Album, Year, and Genre for each individual file, combined with a Bulk Apply panel to stamp shared tags (such as Artist, Album, and Year) across all uploaded tracks at once. Utilizing FFmpeg stream copy, the tagger updates container headers instantly without re-encoding the underlying audio, maintaining the original file quality. Once processed, all files are bundled into a single ZIP archive using JSZip, enabling a single-click download. It runs entirely in your browser, ensuring your music files and tags remain private and secure.
How to use ID3 Batch Metadata Tagger
- Upload a batch of MP3 files by dragging them into the picker or selecting them from your device.
- Review the file list showing automatically parsed titles based on filenames.
- To apply identical metadata to all files, type the Artist, Album, Year, or Genre in the bulk panel and click 'Apply to All'.
- Edit individual fields directly in the spreadsheet rows to customize titles or track orders.
- Click 'Apply & Save Metadata' to process the files locally and download the ZIP archive of your tagged music.
