About Audio 3-Band Equalizer

The Audio 3-Band Equalizer is a precision tone-shaping tool that allows you to adjust the relative volume of low, middle, and high frequency ranges. In audio engineering, equalization (EQ) is the most powerful tool for fixing 'muddy' recordings, making vocals stand out, or adding 'warmth' to a track. Our tool provides three high-fidelity filters: a 100Hz Bass band, a 1kHz Mid band, and a 5kHz Treble band. With a +/- 20dB range on each band, you have complete control over the sonic character of your audio. Built with privacy as a core value, all EQ processing happens locally on your computer using FFmpeg WASM. Your audio files and creative decisions remain entirely yours, processed with speed and security directly in your web browser.

How to use Audio 3-Band Equalizer

  1. Select and upload the audio file you want to equalize.
  2. Adjust the 'Bass' slider to add weight or remove rumble from the low-end.
  3. Use the 'Mid' slider to clarify or pull back the presence of vocals and lead instruments.
  4. Adjust the 'Treble' slider to add clarity or reduce harshness in the high-end.
  5. Click 'Apply Equalizer' to process the audio and download the resulting high-quality file.

Use cases for Audio 3-Band Equalizer

  • Improving the clarity of 'muffled' voice recordings by boosting the mids and highs.
  • Adding a 'club' feel to music by boosting the bass and slightly lifting the treble.
  • Removing annoying 'honky' frequencies from instruments by cutting the mid-range.
  • Taming harsh-sounding recordings by reducing the treble frequencies.
  • Matching the tonal characteristics of different audio tracks to make them sound consistent.
